My passion for interior design emerged in my late twenties. At 32, despite my own husband's career change and four young children, I courageously returned to school for Interior Design, driven by the desire to set an example for my kids. While challenging as it was, and a longer timeline than anticipated, it enriched my life profoundly and instilled in my children the value of following their dreams & not giving up. The passion for hospitality design took me by surprise during my school career as I originally had entered school for an emphasis on residential design. Additionally, I nurture a passion for quilting, with aspirations to become a surface designer and create my own fabric line in the future.

The Cosmopolitan Club

The Cosmopolitan Club brings exclusive access to a high-end luxury dining. As the Club’s purpose is to bring members and their guests together, it is suited for both business and pleasure. The member-only Cosmopolitan Club is the newest place to see and be seen.

Garfield basement finish

Nola Willardsen has owned thIs property as a long-term rental since 1978. Recently, she has decided to turn it into a short term rental which would require finishing the basement. This transition necessitates the completion of the basement, where Nola has specified certain design features. She has requested the addition of a second family room and a compact wet bar to accommodate larger gatherings, along with a small half bathroom. In order to cater to remote workers among her renters, Nola has also asked for a dedicated workspace or office area to be included. Unfortunately, the addition of another bedroom is not feasible due to limitations imposed by egress code compliance, and the associated costs make it impractical to consider.

UPSTATE BOHEMIC KITCHEN

The design creates a functional, inclusive kitchen blending Deepa's Indian heritage and Owen's cooking passion, accommodating their young daughter and mobility-impaired parents. It's also ideal for hosting small gatherings, drawing inspiration from a bohemian style reminiscent of upstate New York, featuring vibrant colors reflecting Indian heritage, capturing the family's desired essence.

The design's purpose is to replace the library with a functional bathroom that reflects Deepa's Indian background and offering luxury and serenity while prioritizing accessibility. The design provides ample storage and draws inspiration from a bohemian style reminiscent of upstate New York, incorporating vibrant colors reflective of Deepa’s Indian heritage.
